UC Berkeley simply could not sustain its excellence without our donors, alums, volunteer leaders, staff, and others who give, inspire others to give, offer critical advice, and more. We are grateful to those who dedicate their time and expertise to helping Berkeley’s enduring light shine brightly.
The councils support and advance the mission of UC Berkeley by providing advice and thought partnership to the chancellor and other campus leaders, encouraging private philanthropy, and serving as principal ambassadors among the UC Berkeley community within the East Coast region, the Southern California region, and in Asia.
The UCBF’s primary mission is to assist the university in securing gifts, trusts, and bequests to nourish programs throughout the campus.
In addition to overseeing Berkeley’s central development office, this vice chancellor works with academic, athletic, and arts units across campus to increase support for and knowledge of the university.
